When I wrote this section for my first website, 12 years ago, I wrote about what inspired me to start this business. Having my first son and capturing all those special moments through my photographs was what began this journey for me... and what a journey it has been.
Since then, not only did I have another son (my boys are now 13 and 10) but my business has grown way beyond any expectations I had for it.
I have had the honour of meeting and photographing hundreds of families. Some I met when they were expecting their very first baby... and now they have four! And I have been lucky enough to capture many special moments for them along the way.
I won't tell you much about myself here... because as soon as you meet me you'll realize one thing very quickly. I am not shy. I love to talk. And whether you want to or not, you'll get to know me, fast! And so will your children.
This is my favorite part of my job... getting to know/ winning over all the kids (and the babies)! And I am very good at it... this I know for sure.
My philosophy regarding photography is very simple....... keep it real. I admire many styles of photography, but I like my own photos to reflect a simplicity and truthfulness.
When choosing photos for my site galleries (not an easy task), I chose the photos that made me FEEL something.
This is what I want your photos to do for you. I want you to look back at them many years from now and remember how your children were at that age, and how you felt about your family at that stage in your lives.... not to worry about whether everyone had a perfect smile or matching outfits (but that doesn't hurt either!).
Life is precious, unpredictable, and goes by so very very fast. Don't wait for the "perfect time" to have photos taken of your family. The perfect time is now.
I would like to thank all of the wonderful people who have entrusted me, time & again, to document their lives through my images.
I have loved every moment of it, and hope to keep doing this until I can't jump up and down, sing twinkle-twinkle-little-star and focus my camera all at once! Or at least until that stops being fun. Right now, it's so much fun!
